Emilly attends Gold Coast and national award events

Hi EH fam!

For those following along on my social media, you would have seen the big events I have attended recently.

What did I attend?

A few months ago I found out that I had been included in the finals for the Business News Australia Young Entrepreneur 2022 awards for the Gold Coast. I looked at the nominees in my category (Retail & Services) and noticed nominees such as ‘Sskin’ by the Hembrow sisters and felt so humbled to be in such impressive company. At the start of October I attended the Gold Coast event and was so happy to take out the category award! I then realised that I had not prepared at all mentally to be going up on a stage and speak to a room full of hundreds of people (possibly my greatest fear ever like so many of us!) but I had no choice, so i got up there and just did my best.

Fast forward to last week and it was time for the national awards event, where all the winners of the respective categories from each state join together for a brilliant night of celebration. I happily got glammed up again and took along my very close friend Fallon for a night of champagne and great company.

What did I wear?

For the Gold Coast awards evening I wore a Lexi Dress in white, and for the National awards night I wore a Effie Kats black velvet dress

What was the highlight?

I was so shocked and incredibly honoured to be awarded the winner of the Gold Coast Retail and Services award for 2022. Making it two years in a row!
The second highlight was attending the National event which I had missed going to in 2021 as I had just had my baby girl Ella. I was amongst such incredible company including good friends Alec & James Carney who won their hospitality category for the Gemelli Group and Bianca & Bridgett Roccisano who won their fashion category for Booby tape! It was amazing to see these close friends take out their national award and hear inspiring stories from other winners including two men who had recently had a capital investment raise of over $100 million. Incredible stuff!

I am now ready to work my little butt off and be there again next year! A big thank you to my whole team who are just incredible, and to all our lovely clients for making this dream possible.
